お爺さんに助けられてかわいがられていた雀は、お婆さんが

洗濯に使おうとしていた糊を食べてしまい、舌を切られて逃げ

出してしまいました。

その雀をお爺さんが追って山へ行くと、雀たちが恩返しにご馳

走してくれたり踊りを見せてくれた。

お土産として大小2つのつづらのどちらを持って行くか聞かれ、小さい方を持って帰り

家に着いて中を見てみると小判が詰まっていました。

欲張りなお婆さんは、大きなつづらをもらおうと雀の宿に押しかけ、大きい方を強引に

受け取りました。

帰り道につづらを開けてみると中には妖怪が詰まっており、お婆さんは腰を抜かし気絶して

しまいました。

Tokyo was originally a small fishing village named Edo. In 1457, ota Dokan built Edo Castle.
